Monthly Favourites – March 2017

I know I a bit (just a bit :P) late with this post but just couldn’t not do it!

So here are my absolute favs :

Listerine Pocket Mist

I loveee these!! I used to love those little mint films which was Listerine’s signature product back in the day but these beat that too! Just a little spritz of this and it hits you with a nice tiny bomb of mint and you feel so refreshed !! I love it and am sorta obsessed with it currently!!The green one(FreshBurst) is my fav but even the blue one(CoolMint) has been growing on me lately !

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 (for combination dry skin type)

I had been eyeing this toner for quite a while but ya it’s damn expensive and I,for one,was never into toners. But then I took a leap of faith and this product didn’t disappoint! I have been using this for about 2 months I think and its amazing! It gives a nice cooling feeling when used and does make my skin feel very very clean..I think it’s especially been useful for my forehead and neck and nape of the neck which are areas I ignore otherwise. It’s costly but goes a long way so it’s definitely a fav!

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

This serum, according to me, is the most top notch serum ever! I had heard such amazing things that I had to try it for myself and boy! Did I love it?! It’s amazing how it transformed my rather coarse but thin and dry fluffy hair(I know this sounds weird but I simply can’t describe my hair any other way:P) into a nice silky and sleek looking mane!I usually use it on soaking wet hair and it leaves a very subtle fragrance and makes me feel fresh and also leave the hair supersmooth and helps hair dry faster(I allow my hair to air dry naturally)So a big thumbs-up!!

Himalaya Active Fresh Mouthwash Saunf Mint

By now you must’ve understood that I’m obsessed with minty stuff and this mouthwash bottle is obviously empty coz I’ve used it up! Basically it’s this really subtle mint flavoured mouthwash which is alcohol-free and quite pleasant and definitely doesn’t burn your tongue loke quite a few other mouthwashes do. All in all did love this one!

Benefit the POREfessional Agent Zero Shine powder

As it’s forever hot in Mumbai and now more than ever and I have oily skin, this is the perfect product. Its a cute, tiny container of fine translucent powder with a tiny brush..and it is very compact and shuts securely so is good to carry around too.Lovee it!!

So these are my favs for the month. Let me know if you want full review on any individual product!!

John Frieda Frizz Ease Extra Strength Hair Serum

Hey !! Finally starting with the reviews and this one’s a product I really like!

Frizz Ease has been around for a while and is quite well known and well loved and my experience was no exception. I totally loved it from the very first use. I’ve been using it for about a month now.

I have used it on both dry as well as wet hair.It works well both ways.It basically instructs you to use it on soaking wet hair, which I did and got seriously smoother less frizzy hair. But even with dry hair, the transformation was magical.Like literally you can see your hair turn from a haystack to a visibly smoother, shinier and more manageable mane.

Priced at around Rs.600-800 for 50 ML depending on where you get it from, it is probably costlier than the usual serums we use  in India ..say Loreal products but it is definitely cheaper and does an equally good job if you compare it with TIGI products or the queen of serums, the Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell, which by the way I’ll be reviewing soon!!

So stay tuned!!

A little gold,A little glitter-DIY DESIGNER NOTEBOOK

Hey guys!! Today I was having a really dull day and somehow wasn’t feeling well..I can’t really explain because I don’t really know..and then I came back home and was randomly going through some videos and pictures and decided to do this.

So it’s basically a DIY NOTEBOOK COVER.

And all you need is:

Chart paper (I’ve used black)

Pen(I’ve used a golden pen)

Step 1:

Cover the notebook with your chart paper

Step 2:

Let your imagination soar and fly and start.

Now I basically got inspired by the whole mandala trend going on right now .. But I’m also a sucker for quotes I ended up with this..

I’m really pleased with myself ,I won’t lie because well, this is my very first attempt..

And I’m really looking forward to do this more !! It is such an amazing stress buster!!

Hope you liked it. If you did please comment and let me know!!

So it’s been ages since I last blogged..a part of me died away..a part of me was confused and the survivor in me moved on to greener pastures..a YouTube channel..yes that’s right!! So much for being an introvert who can’t stand any kind of attention..and then again.. sometimes I loved it sometimes I much so that I didn’t make videos for weeks and then when the exams were oversmart overactive brain would come up with countless ideas.. that’s how it I’ve had weeks of rest and fun and the next academic year has already begun and I’m new inspiration.. I’m just lost..and numb.

And then I think of starting a beauty and makeup I always wanted.. But alas! I have this pimple of sorts on my face and I’m in no mood to cover it up.. basically not in the mood for makeup.. Not in the mood for the camera actually πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚And then it occurs to me..what do you do when you wanna express something but aren’t up to facing the camera?! You write a blog!! Just like old honestly I’ve got no idea what I posted on this blog..courtesy..the countless number of blogs I’ve got..all failed attempts at doing something worthwhile.. because ya.. I’ve got a commitment issue..and no I am gonna continue YouTube I swear!!!

So I reinstall WordPress and try to make a new username.. That’s typically me..I make a new blog name every time I open this app.. that says something about me,no? πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ but alas! That username is taken I try another one..and that’s taken to and that’s when I realise the value of the usernames I already have..they are all ya I’m back here..

This time is gonna be different.. I know I say that every time πŸ˜‚ but this time is gonna be different because there’ll be no restriction on the kind of content I can be food, fashion, makeup, study, advice, rants anything coz hello! This is the Blah Project..!!It can be anything and everything!!And also there’ll be no deadlines or time restriction.. I’ll be as regular and as lazy as I pleaseπŸ‘»πŸ˜‚ And most importantly I know myself better I know that I don’t really care if anyone is reading this or not.. If you are then thank you and ya I’ll try to be entertaining and helpful in some way.. But even if no one’s reading.. it’s fine..I just wanna do this for me.. it’ll be like a diary.. I’ll put bits and parts of me in.. And eventually it’ll serve as a beautiful amalgamation of memoriesπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Soooo let’s go!!

Maybelline SuperStay 7 DAYS Gel Nail Color : 21 Pink In The Park

Hey guys!!Today I’m reviewing this nail polish called ‘Pink in the Park’ by Maybelline. It’s a gel nail polish and right now gel nails are all the rage!!So read on to find out how this one fared..

Price: Rs.325 for 10ml
About the product:
New Super Stay 7 Days is a gel nail colour that delivers seven days of flawless, chip free colour for the perfect at home manicure that lasts.

Why You’ll Love It

Gel resin formula for longwear.
Enriched with Calcium, Iron and Silica for strength.
Special full-fit brush to sweep on the perfect dose of colour.Β

For Best Results

1. Apply a clear base color to make your nail color last longer.
2. Use the curved brush to a thin layer of colour leaving a small space at the base of the nail.
3. Let dry before applying a second coat slightly thicker than the first coat.
4. Finish with a single layer of clear top coat to extend your manicure.

Packaging: It comes in a glass bottle with a white plastic cap.The packaging is sturdy and chic.πŸ‘—
The USP of this product is the brush. It’s a unique brush with a curved end and it’s flat compared to regular brushes. This helps in distributing the color evenly on the nail and reaching the corners of the nails. All in all, with this brush, application becomes very easy! 😎😎

Consistency:The consistency, I feel,is slightly thinner than regular nail paints. It spreads evenly and dries pretty fast. But two coats are required for a proper opaque finish. With a single coat, the true color is not obtained.
Color:‘Pink in the Park’ is a beautiful baby pink color. It is very flattering and will suit all skin colors. It is suitable for regular days since it is not a loud color,as well as for a day out as it is very chic and girly! It doesn’t have any glitter but has a glossy finish.

Formula:It is a good formula and the 7 day claim is fulfilled by this nail polish. There is sligh fading of the shade and a bit of chipping from the very ends of the nails but it is not noticeable and this nail polish can really survive an entire week and maybe even more!πŸ’…πŸ’…πŸ’…
1.Long lasting formula
2.At home gel nails
3.Nice shade
4.Easily available
1.Price is high compared to other Maybelline nail paints.
Rating: 4.7/5
Yes or No?
Definitely yes!!It’s a quick and easy way to jazz up your nails and it lasts pretty long so you can just apply it and forget all about it until the next weekend!!πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
I hope you found this review helpful. Thanks for reading. Please Like and comment and let me know about your favorite nail paints.
Don’t forget to share this post!!
Lots of love!!πŸ’ž

Study Tips

download (6)

Since I’m a medical student and quintessentially a geek,it is but appropriate that my first post be something related to studying!
Every person has a different capacity and different preferences of studying.
There is no magic trick or formula to ace that test. There’s just hard work and a smart approach. These are a few basic things that need to be done:

download (3)

To achieve anything, you need an aim-a goal to work towards. So make a plan-a long-term one, and then break it down into monthly, weekly and daily.
The plan must be realistic.
Because making sky-high plans is inevitably satisfying but it’s a waste of time.

People will be behind you relentlessly – teachers,parents,tutors-but in the end, you should yourself have that interest. So find it within you -the need to study, the wish and will to study- I know this sounds like shitty philosophy – but it’s true.

Again this might sound preachy, but it works.
Eat right – eat fresh fruits and cut down on oily food,rice,etc.-coz these can make you feel sluggish and sleepy.
Do not follow some crazy diet-coz your brain needs sugar to function. And dieting and all is important in its own stead-but well, get your priorities straight!!
Drink lots of water-it’ll keep you fresh.
Don’t get too caffeine dependent – it might mess with your sleep cycle and give you headaches.

I don’t mean study all the damn time. I mean stay connected with your books. Atleast get to know what’s going on in class, what all has been taught and how much do you need to cover up.Don’t alienate the subject.

This is probably the most important one. It’s all up to you. You do you! You know yourself best.So try and understand your studying pattern. How much time do you need for a particular amount of matter-say,number of pages,a chapter, whatever. How many times do you need to read something to understand it properly? Does writing and making notes help?Do you refer to the notes you take in class?!

And needless to say-turn off your WI-FI and put your phone away!!πŸ”₯πŸ”₯
